VITAMIN RIGHTS GIVEN TO PUBLIC

WASHINGTON. Jan. 14. Attorney General Tom C. Clark announced that under a consent Judgment entered today vitamin D patents owned by the Wisconsin Alumni Research foundation have been dedicated to the public.
The "sunshine vitamin." vitamin D prevents and cures rickets.
Clark said the Judgment, terminating a civil anti-trust suit against the foundation and 17 other firms, was entered In the United States district court at Chicago.
The government filed suit October 20, 1944, charging foundation and 17 "of Its so-called licensees” a department of Justice statement said, with unlawfully conspiring to restrain and monopolize trade and commerce in vitamin D and vitamin D products
