On behalf of the scientific committee, it is my pleasure to inviteyou to attend the International Symposium on Vitamin D Deficiency,
Lack of adequate sun exposure, vitamin D supplementation andfortification puts us at an increased risk for a number of seriousillnesses including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, respiratoryinfections, allergy, rickets, psoriasis, osteoporosis, autoimmunediseases, neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis,Alzheimer's disease as well as common cold and flu. At the symposium,the physicians, researchers and scientists working in the field ofvitamin D will discuss current research and clinical practicesrelated to vitamin D. We are proud to organize and host this eventthat will bring together high caliber speakers and experts in thefield.
Healthcare professionals will hear directly from some of theworld's leading vitamin D experts about the current vitamin Ddeficiency crisis in the UAE, Middle East, and the rest of the world.The symposium will address the role of vitamin D in pregnancy,lactation, cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders, cancer,and the diagnosis and treatment of vitamin D deficiency. A speciallecture will be conducted on non-classical functions and molecularbiology of vitamin D in the symposium.
The scientific committee has put together a comprehensive programon this topic. We hope that the symposium will promote diffusion ofup-to-date scientific information and offers participants theopportunity to develop fruitful collaborations.
